VEGAN GF NO REFINED SUGAR CHOC CARAMEL NUT BITES

*please note: I am no chef, it is all for fun—take it with a pinch of salt <3

Sweet treat i made for my friend Rae's birthday <3


bottom layer:

2C almond flour

1/3C maple syrup (real, not flavoured syrup)

1tbsp coconut oil (melted)

middle layer:

2/3C peanut butter (or any nut butter)

1/3C maple syrup (real, not flavoured syrup)

top layer:not fully measured, mix as you go until desired consistency & taste

1C cacao powder

agave syrup (to taste)

flakey sea salt

1/2C coconut oil (melted)


  1. melt:

    1tbsp coconut oil (for bottom layer)

    &

    1/2C coconut oil (for top layer)

  2. mix bottom layer:

    2C almond flour

    1/3C maple syrup (real, not flavoured syrup)

    1tbsp coconut oil (melted)

  3. mix middle layer:

    2/3C peanut butter (or any nut butter)

    1/3C maple syrup (real, not flavoured syrup)

  4. mix top layer:

    NOTE: mix in coconut oil as you go until desired consistency & taste. Add more agave if you want it sweeter.

    1C cacao powder

    agave syrup (to taste)

    flakey sea salt

    1/2C coconut oil (melted)

  5. layer each layer in a loaf pan, muffin tray, silicone mould etc and freeze till set and easy to pop out of its mould.

    NOTE: the vegan dark choc (top layer) can melt/go back to its liquid consistency if left for too long in room temp.
